I’ve often wondered how life’s supposed to be. You know those moments where you think to yourself, how life should be rather than how it is? Well, I think we all can find ourselves within one of those moments. But the tough reality is that no matter how often you think of a better life, it won’t happen until you actually do something about it.
Surprisingly though, a lot of life’s wonderful elements are pure accidents or coincidences. Anyone see Serendipity? I always think of that movie when I get to wondering about fate and it’s humor.
From a more practical standpoint however, one could argue that fate doesn’t exist. “Everything happens for a reason.” End of story right? But let me ask this then, “Does that help any of us sleep at night when we go over our life mistakes before falling asleep?
At the end of the day, I’ve figured out that maybe life doesn’t have a rhythm or rhyme to it. Maybe it’s just simply “chaos personified,” to quote Serendipity. I’ve also learned to accept that, simply because I’m tired of trying to justify everything that occurs within my crazy, stressful life.
So here’s to asking the age old question,” Why would I hold on to something that isn’t in my control?” And answering it with, “Don’t.”
